Junior Coaching in the BB&O

Once you have gone through the trials and the initial assessments and you have become part of the BB&O Junior playing and coaching squads, things will get more exciting.

With the success of the November 2007 Open Days, we will amost certainly be starting an U12 side and we hope to be playing matches against established club teams, so watch this space..................

We have selected the best County Coaches to help you improve your performance (see the coaching staff section) and we wil give you much more dedicated attention and personal time and a more rounded approach to golf.

We like you to keep statistics so you can track the improvements in your game and so you know that the things you are working on are actually showing results. We ae developing  a web based system that wil track your stats, goals, swing and coaches voice-overs. This is password protected so only you can access the data but one of the benefits is that you can discuss it with your own coach. The other benefit is that whenever you attend a County coaching session we should be able to access that data and measure your improvements.

The other things that we can help with are the many related issues that make up the total golfing package. Strength & Fitness, Diet and Psychology are some of those additional issues, but none is more important than to have our coaches talk with you about winning and that is where they are rich in experience whether it is winning County competitions, being victorious in Regional England events or winning on the tour!

Of course as a member of the junior squads you have responsibilities too and all will be explained to you when we meet. The most important ones though are these; your responsibility to work on agreed targets and your responsibility to show by example that you are a worthy member of the squad in the way you behave on and of the course and the way you are dressed.
